We are seeking a Chief of Staff for the Oncology Clinical Research group, reporting to the Head of Oncology (SVP).
The incumbent will serve as a key business partner to the Therapeutic Area Head for Oncology and be immersed in strategic and operational elements for our global Oncology Clinical Research group, leading and driving large projects within the research group, providing insight and access to the organizational strategy and direction (around the world).
Further, in partnership with the Oncology leadership, the Chief of Staff will have the opportunity to focus on formulating and implementing strategies in support of potential future development work-streams, to maximize efficiency within the Oncology Clinical Research group.
The successful Oncology Chief of Staff will be a dynamic, experienced individual, with a strong track record of strategic and operational work experience, across a variety of settings and topics in the pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical industry.
She/he must have the proven ability to effectively manage complex and ambiguous projects, influence stakeholders without direct authority, effectively network across the organization, and communicate with senior leaders all within a very dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Core
Responsibilities:
Targeted focus on driving business results and strategic initiatives through operational rigor, collaboration and cross functional/leadership alignment.
Uncover areas within the Oncology Clinical Research group to drive performance and efficiency improvements to unlock productivity and accelerate execution and support project management of these initiatives.
Analyze existing data and industry best practices to ensure programs, processes, and initiatives are meaningful and aligned to the overall business strategy.
Develop and maintain detailed work plans on key initiatives which include identification of project tasks, clear milestones, and assignments of work project responsibilities, schedules, plans, resources, budget, and status reports.
Collaborate across multiple internal functions to manage employee, customer, partner and other appearances for the executive including prioritization of internal and external events based on impact and strategic goals, partnering on preparation and ensuring timely follow up.
Work closely with the Oncology Clinical Research group to partner on communications strategy and preparation/content for impactful presentations.
Examples of Business Operations-driven deliverables include knowledge exchange meetings, Oncology Development Leadership meetings, Other key leadership meetings, project/initiative presentations, keynotes, all Hands presentations; follow up communications, key external collaboration meetings.
Curate topical discussions for leadership team meetings and drive actions / follow-up process coordinating across the Worldwide Oncology leaders.
Partner across the Therapeutic Area to ensure alignment and realize synergies.
Travel with Therapeutic Area Head as needed to customer/partner/analyst/employee meetings and events.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
