Position Objective
Due to the current circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 outbreak, this position does not yet have a start date. However given the importance of the role, we will continue to actively interview candidates during this time, with the intention of completing the hiring process and extending an offer as soon as we are able to do so. Initial interviews will be over the phone and/or video.
Essential Job Functions
Expert in more than one important area of SLD's software.
Owns the development and rollout for an entire product, or large project.
Champions process (Scrum, testing workflows).
Writes technical specifications and identifies risks before starting major projects.
Sets standards and suggests procedure improvements
Creates clear to understand designs and software.
Solves difficult problems with little assistance.
Self-motivating and directing, requires little day to day management.
As needed, takes on additional tech lead responsibilities for driving an initiative to completion.
Very self-starting and requires little day to day management.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
All previous level stills
Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
Has strong commitment to producing quality results.
Carefully tests their development, quality is usually quite good.
Addresses assigned bugs quickly.
Can multitask.
Can create clear documentation of modules being worked on.
Strong knowledge of and experience with software engineering fundamental practices.
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
BS/MS in related technical discipline
10-15 years
