Job DescriptionSr.
Manager, Learning and Development (Quality University)Job ResponsibilitiesConducts needs analysis for various functions within PDM to determine knowledge and behavioral changes needed to improve operational efficiencies.
Leads global learning programs for business unit (PDM).
Acts as the business system owner for the electronic Learning Management Systems (LMS) and leads the system admin network, ensuring proper training and standards are followed.
Designs, develops, and delivers employee development programs within PDM.
Manages external training vendors including budget management and timely delivery of content.
Develops and maintains learning programs in different formats, such as, classroom, on-the-job and eLearning solutions.
Uses needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of proposed training programs.
Facilitates follow-up learning activities, solicits feedback, and evaluates the impact of training programs as they relate to key performance metrics.
Ensures knowledge retention of content through knowledge testing.
Leads group training sessions.
Works with vendors to develop and acquire training materials for technical content.
Is a subject matter expert in 1-2 L&D areas (e.
g.
curriculum design, eLearning, OD, change management, LMS Administration, etc.
)Required Education & Experience8
years of relevant experience in the Learning and Development field and a BA/BS degree OR 6
years of relevant experience and a MA/MS degreePreferred Education & Experience Experience in HR consulting and/or a Fortune 500 company preferred.
Masters in Industrial or Organizational psychology preferred.
Knowledge & SkillsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines.
Must possess in-depth negotiating, influencing, and consulting skills.
Proven project management skills.
Proven curriculum development and instructional design skills.
Fundamental understanding of business strategy and how to link Learning and Development initiatives to business initiatives.
Organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion with a bias towards execution.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Experience with LMS Administration is required.
Experience navigating matrix organizations.
Desirable:
Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
The salary range for this position is:
$154,020.
00 - $199,320.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
