Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Data Analyst is responsible for providing insightful clinical, financial and operational analyses for the Agency's leadership and other decision makers.
Working with regional clinical management teams and other department leaders, the Data Analyst will use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful reports that communicate a variety of metrics for the agency.
The analyst will partner with agency leaders to understand which data collection, analysis, and reporting activities can facilitate their operations and facilitate achievement of both operational and strategic goals.
In addition, the analyst will perform a critical role in establishing, monitoring and auditing data collection procedures and working to continuously improve and auditing these procedures as applicable.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Partner with agency leaders to understand key data and reporting needs, with a focus on standardization where appropriate (e.
g.
, determining which reports and metrics are common across programs or depts and creating data products that are centrally sourced to those teams.
Provide timely reporting and analysis of program performance across all agency regions Utilize advanced querying techniques and work with advanced graphic tools, including dashboards and other visual displays to provide clear and insightful views of program and staff performance Work with users to identify reporting needs, define report specifications and produce reports that help guide program and management decisions Develop processes and reports that can be turned over to end-users' control, whenever possible Understand and interface with multiple data sources to create a coordinated, correlated view of data that showcases agency program functions and supports analytical needs Clarify, develop and document requirements and goals for data analysis and mining for the purposes of identifying business improvement opportunities as well as data issues Attend meetings, as needed, to elicit information needs and ensure appropriate interpretations Conduct detailed data audits and quality reviews, as scheduled and as needed Thoroughly understand and accurately document business processes and workflows Assist in the training of employees in new data collection procedures or protocols Analyze systems and suggest changes for the purposes of enhancing reporting accuracy, clarity and meaningfulness Actively nurture and advance the cooperative, harmonious and teamwork oriented environment Caminar strives to promote within the workplace; Through daily efforts and presentation promote an atmosphere of dignity and respect in line with the organization's mission, philosophy, policies and procedures.

Requirements, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
Must be passionate about Caminar's mission.
BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Finance or equivalent experience 3
years of demonstrated experience as a data analyst Healthcare experience in a Medicaid/Medicare environment preferred Specific Technical Skills:
Use of SQL Reporting Tools such as Crystal and SQL Server Reporting Services, Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project, Access.
Experience in data analysis using SQL, Excel and/or other databases Knowledge of data collection process design, data validation, data cleansing , data warehouse house design, data analysis and data management techniques Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to participate in meetings with all levels of management within the organization Detail oriented, excellent follow-up Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Must be service oriented, quick learner, team player Keen analytical skills as well as organization and problem solving skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and to represent the organization in a positive manner at all times.

Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments.
Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises.
Equipment:
Frequently required to use a computer, phone, and fax machine.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations, and Caminar practices.
This position will require driving so maintaining a valid CA driver license, reliable personal automobile, a clean driving record, and current insurance as required by law are essential job requirements.
